Bara Bastu is a project born by the necessity of providing a bathroom to a fully off-grid tiny house in Åre. Given the lack of a steady water supply, the possibility of installing a shower was hardly feasible, instead we opted for a sauna.
This small building, which footprint is of only 4sqm, consists of a changing room and a sauna equipped with a fire stove attached to a 10 liters water tank. The space is completely insulated and is designed to be fully functional in less than 30 minutes.
The entrance windows create a visual continuity with the natural surroundings, while the outer patio offers extra surface where to sit and relax during the time spent at the sauna.
